David Radavich's poetry collections include Slain Species
(Court Poetry Press, London), By the Way: Poems over the Years
(Buttonwood Press,
1998), and Greatest Hits (Pudding
House, 2000). His dramatic works have been performed across
the U.S., including six Off-Off-Broadway productions; several plays
have won prizes, and five have been published. In 2000, Fragments
of the Third Planet received its European premiere in Germany, where
it ran for four months as part of their Millennium Festival. America
Bound: An Epic for Our Time (Plain View, 2009) narrates American
history from World War II to the present. His latest collection
is Canonicals: Love’s Hours (Finishing Line, 2009).
Radavich has assumed leadership roles in a number of literary
and social organizations such as Illinois Writers, Missouri Association
of Playwrights and Playwrights Express (both Saint Louis), The Thomas
Wolfe Society, and University Professionals of Illinois. He has
published a variety of essays on poetry, drama, and contemporary
writing. Recipient of numerous writing awards, he was named an Illinois
Distinguished Author in 1995.
